TIM SCHALL with Joe Dreyer in the composer-based show, Songs of Kander and Ebb.
SEPTEMBER 18, 19, and 21, 2008
Schall's show explores their classic hit shows Cabaret and Chicago, lesser-known gems from Zorba, The Act, 70 Girls 70, along with their original special material. He weaves stories of the songwriting team’s life and career into the show. Songs include "All that Jazz," "But the World Goes Round," "Cabaret," "Razzle Dazzle," along with early hits, "My Coloring Book" and "Ring Them Bells." Songwriter Amanda McBroom (The Rose) says, “Tim Schall sings with a voice like honey, a heart filled with emotion, and a mind that knows how to tell a story. That’s the Triple Crown.”
DEAN CHRISTOPHER accompanied by Carolbeth True in Dean Christopher: Got G.A.S? (Great American Songbook)
OCTOBER 23-26, 2008
With powerhouse composers like Cole Porter, the Gershwins, Rodgers and Hart, Sammy Cahn and Jimmy Van Heusen, Christopher’s show takes you through some of his favorite G.A.S. classics - popular songs from the 30’s, 40’s, & 50’s - with a style reminiscent of some of the greatest songsters in the world. Featured songs include: "The Best is Yet to Come," "As Time Goes By," "I Won’t Dance," "Night and Day" and "That’s Life." The Denver Post says, “Christopher’s slick performance is enhanced by his easygoing rapport with the audience and a seemingly natural affinity for the spotlight.”
PAMELA RECKAMP and JOHN FLACK will be performing Love Songs from American Musical Theatre, accompanied by Al Fischer.
NOVEMBER 20-23, 2008
Constructed as a journey down the path of love, it features songs from classic musical theatre composers such as Rodgers & Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim, and Leonard Bernstein, to contemporary composers like Jason Robert Brown, Pietro & Roberts, and Finn & Lapine. Song selection includes: "Thou Swell," "People Will Say We’re in Love," "Wonderful Guy," "One Hand-One Heart," "Stars and the Moon," and "Marriage Tango."
